Boulder-based developer of organic instant tea technology has grown to 750 retailers in just 12 months and has expansion plans set for 500 new retailers in Q2 2018.
BOULDER, Colo. – June 4, 2018 — After launching Cusa Tea in May of 2017, the company has rapidly expanded distribution in more than 750 retail locations in the natural grocery, conventional grocery, and outdoor industries. Retailers include REI, King Soopers, Safeway Denver, Lucky’s Markets, Alfalfas, JAX Outdoors, Sierra Trading Post and a host of other small and mid-sized retailers.
In Q1 of 2018, the brand expanded nationwide with REI, as well as gained placement in three UNFI distribution centers in Colorado and Northern California. They are launching in the Denver Safeway stores in June.
“I am blown away by the consumer and retailer acceptance for Cusa Tea in just the first year,” said Jim Lamancusa, Cusa Tea’s founder and CEO. “Our plan was to be in 250 locations after the first year and we have tripled that number. Not only that, we are consistently gaining more velocity and traction in the retailers that currently carry us. We have big plans for the rest of the year which include more distribution expansion as well as several new flavors. We are just getting started!”
Cusa Tea exhibited at the Natural Products Expo West in March 2018 in Anaheim, California. In July 2018 the company will exhibit at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, CO.
To mark their first anniversary, Cusa Tea announced the upcoming launch of their newest flavor: Chai Tea. It will be available for sale in June 2018.
